  1. Very interesting on how you got them back into shape as well as preventing them from losing shape in the first place. As winter starts to move to the exits I’ll have to try this with my sweaters.

Please do a home washing tutorial for ties!

  8. How to shrink my sweater

  9. Help, my wool GCDS jumper got a bit felted. Why should I do? The olive oil technique will work? 🥲

  10. Thank you for this informative video. I just purchased a beautiful vintage Lochcarron of Scotland wool scarf from a thrift store and was vacillating on whether to dry clean it. Was worried the dry cleaners wouldn't treat it w/ TLC. Your video has made me realize handwashing is a better way to go.

  11. Surfactant actually have one end that binds to oil and the other to water. It makes it easier to for water to pull oils out. Yes it acts as lubrication but its not what cleans. It is also not activated by hot water. Hot water makes materials including skin open up and makes washing more effective with less rubbing.

If your going to use terms like surfactant and activation, read about the science and not from some of the 1950s magazine you read about to look like some old man

  12. This guy gives me serious report of the week vibes.

  13. I always wanted to know how to take care of wool clothes because I've had a few beautiful clothes that I had to hand over because of the shrinking. Their new size was good for teens, but not for adults.

Many thanks for the video 🙏

  16. Spoken like a true gentleman!
    Nicely done.
Information covers everything one needs to know with no gimmicks. Too-shay

  17. This was an entire physics of sweaters lol. Good video though !

  18. I'm trying to remove yellow Nicotine and smoke

  19. I got a tomato stain on my whitish wool sweater and got most of the stain out with hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Then used a wool detergent and ran it with no spin in the washer. I pulled it out and there is a light light pink stain in the area where the baking soda/hydrogen peroxide was used. Any tips to remove the new pink stain?

  20. You have like a robot voice lol it is so clear to understand what your saying

  21. Your English is very good….oh….also, nicely informative thank you

  22. Very helpful, thank you, but does this process also apply to wool coats?

  23. This was the whitest video I've ever seen but it was very informative and helpful to me, a black woman. Good job.

  24. I do not think you should ever wash your wool sweaters in the machine. Ever. Just poor some lukewarm water and leave the sweater in it for few minutes. 10-20 min. If you have a stain it is bad. Use the stain marker and try to rub only that area.

  25. Bhai smart dressing!!

  26. Woww thank you so much 💕💕💕❤️❤️

  27. Is it possible to mix regular and wool clothes in the same machine and cycle?

  28. Thank you…😇❤

  29. how to undo when your wool sweater is shrunk? 😢

  30. I had no idea wool could be fixed after appearing to shrink.

  31. You might have just saved my lambswool scarf

  32. THANK YOU!! The wool sweater tip (to get them "back into shape") works! I used it on 3 sweaters – one a thinner merino blend, one a thicker cable-knit and the last just a 'regular' wool sweater and they all came (mostly) back to their former shape.

  33. This guy looks like he still wants slavery legal

  34. My washer ended up messing up a $950 sweater and I had to take it to get dry cleaned and they fixed it. They used a hydrocarbon solution.

  35. I wish I watched this sooner before washing my wool sweaters. Luckily, I just washed it once and the patterns are still maintained. Unfortunately, it did shrink. Now I know how to wash it back into proper size. Thank you so very much.

  36. Incredibly good video.

  37. I'm going to try that olive oil tip for partly felted woolens!

  38. A SUPERIOR INFORMATIVE VIDEO = THANK YOU !!!!

You said not to worry if some color comes out and I just washed a black Irish aran wool sweater and the water was really dirty looking. Here is the problem I am allergic to dogs and cats and found out AFTER buying this piece of Irish tradition second hand that the previous owner had a dog… Upon rinsing there was a concerning amount of black and grey "fur"… The long white course hairs I'm positive belonged to her pet but the shorter fur looking hair I'm concerned was the wool. How do I make sure to wash/remove all the pet fur, hair, and dander so I can safely wear this sweater without an inhaler. I am not allergic to sheep's wool, and I have learned my lesson. I will never buy from a pet owner again as my allergies are my concern. I don't blame the seller because I forgot to ask.

  40. Thank you so much for helping us how to take care of our wool sweater/ garment. Keep safe.❤😇

  41. This was a tour de force. Thanks.

The best, as usual. I liked in particular the method to do something I thought impossible: to return to life sweaters shrunk by mistreatment: wished I had known it, as I have thrown away quite a few (eg accidentally thrown together with the normal wash..
