  1. Fantastic pattern finds! I really enjoyed the Frugal Frocks challenge and was astounded by the amount of free patterns. Linking the free patterns to the contestants buffet dresses is ingenious! Well done Sam. Sue. X

  2. I love your free pattern vlogs but would really enjoy tie Sewing Bee info …. thanks for trawling!

  3. I’ve only just found your videos. How I wished I’d known about them before. I’ll have to catch up. Thanks for the info on the sewing bee clothes. I think I might find them more interesting than the Bee as I’m not keen on tv competitions even sewing ones. And I’m always interested in in free patterns especially kids’ones having lots of Grandchildren.

  4. You work hard for us all Sam. Love all your Vlogs and tutorials.

It is killing me that I can't watch this here in the US. I'm dead. 😵

  6. That broderie angais dress was gorgeous apart from the colour and I’d never thought of dyeing it until I watched the GBSB, just bought a few metres of it I’m excited to give it a go as it’s always been one of my favourite fabrics ❤️ I’ve no idea at this stage who’ll win but there’s certainly a few to watch, fab video as always!

  7. Thanks Sam and yes please to the SB “post match analysis” throughout the series
The buffet (!!) dress, when I saw it i immediately thought of the Wilder Gown. 🤓🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  8. I would love a tutorial on making the top into a dress with tiers.

  9. Thanks for that Sam – please do more of the same whilst GBSB is on TV as your video just enhances this great show

  10. I liked the fabric Jean used for the buffet dress.
How can I find out the fabric name ? Tks

  11. I love any opportunity to find out about free patterns 🥰. I really enjoy your videos!

Thanks Sam, would love a tutorial. Great vlog as always 😁👌

  13. I’m from Australia and we don’t get Sewing bee 🐝 but I really liked your suggestions related to the show.

  14. Thank you Sam. Would love to see sewing bee free patterns 😍

  15. I love anything GBSB, even though I'm in the US and cant' watch. Your doing pattern-matching helps me experience the show vicariously, so please carry on!

  16. Thankyou this was very helpful. Love the theme of the Sewing Bee. In Australia we do get to see it , eventually, each year and your analysis is very helpful as you focus on sewing principles and designs.

  17. Yes please, keep doing these videos. Love the help finding new patterns and your inspiration. Thank you.

  18. Please carry on with sewing bee inspired free patterns and would love a Sewalong adding tiers to a top pattern please

  19. I’ve been trying to find a pattern like the poppy dress for weeks. Please continue with free patterns. I tried using the bodice of a long dress but it ended up in the bin! I’ll try to get one if the patterns you’ve reviewed.

Hi Sam. I did think of you when those Bees were struggling with their gathering – they should have watched your video tutorial on using elastic! Would have been so much quicker! Diana

  21. Since I am unable to watch the Sewing Bee, I would prefer your regular free sewing pattern video. Even though I really enjoyed today’s video

  22. I'm from the U.S. and had seen the first few season of TGBSB on You Tube. So very disappointed that I am unable to see them anymore. I really loved that show.

  23. Thanks for another great video….so much information in there! A series running alongside the sewing bee with any free patterns you can find would be great. If you have any advice on getting the proportions right on tiers and ruffles, I’d also like to see that.

  24. 😍love the sewing bee, your research is much appreciated.

  25. Loved this! Since I cannot watch the Sewing Bee, this consoles a bit!😉

I have made the Peppermint ruffle sleeve top into a dress. It's actually a little tricky, it flares out, it's a-line so you have to make it a bit more straight first. And figure out where you want the waist to be. I put it a little bit too low. I do like the top, I have made 3 or 4 in different variations because it fits perfectly.

  28. Please continue with The Great British Sewing Bee. I’m in the US so can’t watch. This episode gave me great info and wonderful ideas! Thanks!

  29. Yes please carry on doing the Sewing Bee theme

  31. I enjoyed this video .. thanks

  32. Fun take on the sewing bee theme. And very Sam, which makes it even better! Great video!

  33. I love this series idea, Sam! I vote for you to keep doing it! ❤️

  34. I love this! I just found you today. "Go and look through your patterns…" Yes! Nothing against supporting designers who bring out new patterns, but I have collected (and not made) so many over the years, this is definitely where I want to start. Good for you!

  35. Definitely up for more Sewing Bee videos, please!!! Loving every minute of it 😁❤

  36. Thanks for sharing a bit of "The Great British Sewing Bee". CBC carried it for Season 5 and we haven't seen it since. Strangely, they carry the "The Great British Baking Bee" lol🥰🇨🇦

  37. Sam, love the idea of following along while you hack a free pattern to a dress. Yes, please! Count me in.

  38. Yes please continue doing these! And I'd love to see a tutorial of the peppermint wrap top as a dress! Thanks 🙂

  39. It's the first time I've seen your videos, I saw the GBSB theme and thought I'd watch. I really enjoyed your content and would like to see more sewing bee videos and a video for the "buffet" dress tutorial please. Now subscribed!

  40. Mucho tv app allows you to watch UK TV FREE for one hour 👊🏽

  41. Thanks for all the great information, yes please for the patten hack and tutorial.

  42. this is a fun series and I don’t have access to the show in the US. There is a BBC paid channel option , on the same idea as hbo for instance, so I will look into it. I have subscribed in the past to access some of the terrific series they offer, well worth the price.

  43. I love a good buffet dress, lovely and breezy x
