Here's our Try and Try Again Film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLLpI9yW_ao

  5. Forgot: Don't drive like Happy Gilmore. I've only being playing a year and figured all this out anyway, common sense really, pity common sense isn't all that common. Unfortunately underslung carry still takes place now and then though LOL. Another one is putting you bag down on wrong side of the ball or too near.

  6. is the astronaut helmets on the t-shirt supposed to imply you guys play high lol

  7. But I am a beginner golfer!

I always look like a pro, till I hit the ball.

I really liked your tip about moving on to your ball. It drives me nuts when the entire foursome goes to each others shots. It really slows down speed of play.

  10. Replace divots too 🙂

  11. “This is for par now” LOL

  12. The sad part is 90% of this is common sense but people really see to struggle with it

  13. Yeah so some points are worth making. Shadows, for example, on the green.

But don't use your hand to push the tee in, carry your bag the right way so you "look like a golfer", and OH NO, the long clubs are at the bottom!!!

It's this sort of pretentious bollocks that makes me dislike the sport that I LOVE playing. It's the reason I can't justify the £1k a year to join my local club because of people that genuinly think like this!!!

If you're a new golfer, take your time. Get it wrong. Look like you're learning as you go and you're enjoying it.
It's much better than the prick with the £1000 set of clubs and his branded gear, Duffing his driver 100 yrds off to the right.

  14. Love your videos, and this is great information. Curious of your thoughts on kind of the opposite situation.

My wife and I aren’t really very good (probably both somewhere around off 28), but we play a lot of courses that aren’t particularly nice..

We try to embrace the ready golf concept so we are not slowing people down and it sometimes leads to doing things that aren’t necessarily classic golf etiquette.like playing out of order or very occasionally stepping on someone’s line by accident. .

Oddly, we’ve never gotten a word about it when playing with scratch golfers at at places like Torrey Pines or whatever, but I does happen occasionally just people at the local courses.

Are we being jerks by sometimes forgetting etiquette accidentally, or sometimes on purpose to help the rounds go faster for everybody?

that was excellent and very funny. would be good to show to beginners/kids. the things beginners need to be briefed on typically are pitch mark repair, sand bunker raking, and pace of play – which doesn't mean no to have a thorough pre shot routine but rather walk smartly between shots and moving (safely) up the fairway to your ball as opposed to all 4 members of the group go to every ball….that drives me nuts! I also see beginners that have just hit their drive, 180m into the rough, chipped out and are now waiting for the green to clear from 225m…….you're not getting there mate, hit up! 🙂

  16. Fantastic advice. Love your channel. Best part….how you end it with "Enjoy yourself". Perfect.

  17. Hilarious. Everyone is right. Your acting is quite good. I’d actually love to see you in a movie. If only I were an agent. Very British and cute. I think you’re a star. Great job!!!

  18. This made me laugh and was informative ! thanks

  19. Pathetic.

  20. Super helpful. Thank you!

  21. If you are playing a friendly (no stakes) and you are having a bad hole, it’s ok to concede the hole, take a breather and resume at the next tee box. Works wonders and speeds up play.

  22. Excellent video that should be an annual mandatory viewing for every golfer. How soon we forget things?

  23. Hi subscribe

  24. Manners maketh the man

  25. Alright, I'll give it a fumbs up. Wait a minute, where is that fumb???

  26. I was taught and taught my son to stand on the tee box and watch the shot. It always seems that when we're playing with someone they paired us with, that we're walking up to the box (we tend to play ready golf and not always honors) and they're at the cart playing with the head covers and trying to decide which club to hit and we've already teed off. Also, I see a lot of guys play with covers for all their clubs and after we tee off they're sitting there messing with the covers, I don't know if it's right or wrong, but I take my covers off at the start of the round and don't put them back on until we're done. It's very busy here where we play so you really have to keep moving and not wasting a bunch of time messing with things.

  27. I liked this video. Full of useful information, and hilarious as well. Thanks. 🙂

  28. Good stuff

  29. Excellent, first one I've seen of yours, I hope the rest are as good.

  30. I must be alone in not giving a fuck. I'm looking like a beginner, cause I am a beginner. Zero fucks given.

TITLE CHANGE: How to not look like a absolute sped

  32. I'm gonna start doing all these and claim I've never played before I decimate people

  33. great video, thanks a lot, all the way from KL, Malaysia

  34. I carry my provisional ball in my pocket too as a beginner.

  35. Very patronising

  36. Had to laugh at the teeing up the ball. I've never seen anyone do that, but have seen people just not be ready or stand in the wrong place. I like to give the person hitting the entire tee box so they can take practice swings without being in danger of hitting someone with the club. One I would add is to be quiet while people are hitting on the t-box, fairway or green. I have played with people who just chatted away while I or others were preparing to swing. So annoying. Once they are politely told it usually doesn't happen again. Definitely like to see more videos like these. Not that I need it 🙂

  37. That is not the swing of a beginner

  38. I've said for years that you should be required to have a golf license in order to set foot on a golf course. In order to get a license you need to take a course on golf etiquette, basic rules and customs such as in this video and a skills test.

  39. There are so many situations on tees and fairways when partners won't naturally be face-on to the player hitting the shot. As long as they keep a good comfortable distance from the player, insisting they set up more face-on to the player is way too picky. Also, what do you do when it is Lefty's turn to tee off? Is everyone expected to move to the other side of the tee box? I've never played with experienced groups where this is an issue. You get distracted during your backswing by someone's shoes who is standing 15 feet away from you?? Yikes!

  40. Great video as always – I have to ask where I can find the hat you are wearing Mark as I really like it

  41. love the video!!!

  42. I’m a new golfer and find this very helpful! Thank you!
