I have two down filled, fur hood Pyrenex jackets. I love them. Beautiful quality and as you say, investments for the future.
I tried this and the jacket still smells of smoke from the camp fire. Any further suggestions?

Thank you! Washing mine now. I have a gun metal gray Via Spiga down jacket with a rabbit fur collar. I’ve had it for over five years now!! I’ve had this baby before Jean jackets were really that popular and I have looked at for others and nothing compares to it so I just take really good care of it. It doesn’t zip LOL just like yours but it has snaps! It’s absolutely beautiful and warm and was absolutely worth It. Thanks again, you always save the day, Clean my space!.

Downfill jackets were a fav jacket back in the late 1970s early 1980s. Those jackets had more down in them then the current kind. Back then, there were even downfill mitts and they were awesome, kept your hands very warm. I never had a down-jacket, and for my 16th birthday(1982) ma gave me a faddy bomber jacket, I liked that jacket. My dreams for down never came to an end, I bought a down filled Sears jacket 12 years ago from a thrift store, it is two-sided and the sides are not similar in colour or style, and it has a separate down hood. That Sears jacket is not bad, but for when it gets really cold(below -5'C) up here in western Canada, downer(pardon the pun). I find when I am doing outdoor work, tends to make you sweat more.
OK, you say to wash your down jacket every winter, oops, I have never washed that jacket. Yesterday I put it through the washer and dryer but the fluffiness won't come back. I aired it out over night, gave it an ol' grandma's rug beating but not much improvement in fluffiness. Do you think I should put it through the dryer again? I have two dryer balls but didn't use them the first time.
What is the brand name of the down parka you are wearing and from where u purchased it?? Any suggestions for good brands for down parka jackets???

I have a WHITE down jacket that’s looking a little dingy now. Is there any effective way to clean it, considering I’ll be trying to remove those couple years of built up stains? I feel like if I just wash it like the way shown in the video, it might not give me a bright white result.

Better yet do NOT buy real fur & contribute to global problem of animal cruelty & abuse. Look into it & you will see the fear in every animal's eyes as they are about to be tortured. Do you really want to contribute to that?

I wouldn't spend on a down jacket.. as I don't like keeping clothes for tonnes of years.. I like change.. 5 yrs is fine.. And who knows how long I'll be in a colder state…
