Good story, well done presentation, but what happened to Chip is exactly why I wont open a business in the West, and even if I did ever expand here, I wouldnt go public.
He didnt say anything wrong and he was honest, yet it lost him his job.
He didnt deserve what he got. Their audience was never "every" woman and most women didnt care about his comment.

It is like Papa John losing his job because he dared to say that people shouldnt say nigger.
He was actually giving sensitivity training basically, and lost his job.

This is happening over and over again to founders and it is not good for the USA.

He made $800,000 out of his sale of Westbeach and not $180k as mentioned

Actually he named his company LuLuLemon as an inside joke that Asian people would read the L as a W. Read as WooWooWomen. Which is a title that somehow is simultaneously racist and sexist, and his clothes have false marketing to take advantage of the Hippy self-help culture that he actually hated as his father was into it. He says that he's changed his mind on it, but the false advertising and sexually/racially insensitive title doesn't vet that out at all. His business model is 100% about taking advantage of the fact that sex sells, self improvement and his perception on what would sell to the most elitest money-bags "hippy" culture would sell.

This brand is all about fantasying women and profit gain. No wonder he lost his position. I’m surprised he didn’t lose his marriage after the dumb “first 30 people who show up naked get free stuff” stunt.
You can literally buy a pair of Patagonia leggings (which have a lifetime warranty, like seriously for life no joke, you never have to buy another pair.) for the same price or less in fact.
Patagonia also cares for the environment by donating 1% of their sales.
All while this brand reduces production costs for gain…shame. No care in the world for the environment nor it’s workers. Just all about the money.
Before buying anything, seriously think..will I end up putting this in a trash bag to goodwill one day?

This was a very pro Chip Wilson video. This video glossed over and ignored sexist and racist behaviour. Also there was no mention or response to toxic corporate work environments at their shops.

Lululemon started in 1998, why you confusing people?

The workers of youngone (BD) make clothes of the famous brand lululemon. But in defiance of government low,the youngone authority are not paying retirement (Service) benefits to high grade workers (supervisor to manager)brand owners & consumers need to play a role in this.
