My four-year-old girly tomboy ripped a huge hole in the back of a new pair of leggings, and I knew I couldn’t make them nice again, but couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. Thanks for the new hack of backing the needle in to tie off! All those years of the frustration of running out of thread to get the top of the needle back through the loop! Probably solved!
Extremely helpful as I sewed up Smartwool tights (base layer) with two holes and runs in the left knee, a first for me. I used "Rayon 40 wt." thread and, as folks at Jo-Ann suggested, a 75-80 needle, much smaller than yours. A miracle and so much fun. Thank you!
