I've never own the older version of the find your pace shorts, but I just bought the new updated fit because of the color. Absolutely love the color, but not a fan of how it fit on me. I definitely prefer the older fit on you than the newer version. It's very flimsy sadly:(

I found Lululemon's soft breathable thong helps reduce the camel toe look with their align leggings on me. It might not work on you but have you tried them?
