MY THOUGHTS ON THE NEW WAYNE GOSS EYESHADOW PALETTE | Beautiful, BUT…

Hello! In today’s video we’re playing with the new Luxury Eye Palette in Imperial Topaz and all three eyeliners in his newest release. I have really high hopes for this release, as I’m a big fan of Wayne and I believe in his taste and experience, but the real question is: Is this an everyday palette that I’ll reach for enough to justify a $55 luxury price tag for just 6 shadows?

  1. Well so far everything looks good on you! Pretty great evening fall look!

  2. This palette has 6 shades only 2 mattes! As much as I wanted to order this, I knew realistically I just wouldn’t end up using it.
I love the cool tan in the thrive palette …this palette just needs a cool matte …like sooo bad!
While I do Love that liner shade! It’s dark enough to give definition while not being stark black!

  3. I was actually looking for a kohl liner in a deep brown 😂😂

  4. I actually lol’d when I heard the price. Dear lord.

It did actually end up looking quite beautiful on you.

  7. I don't know why people think that black is so important. I don't think I ever used black eyeshadow. Like you said, maybe this palette would be better for deeper skin tones

  8. Yes, please do the eye brightener video!!!

  9. I was kind of scared for you when you first laid down the black, but after everything was done I couldn’t stop staring at it! So pretty and unique and I love the way it turned out. Sending love ❤️

  10. "I'm hoping that I can provide you with THE option". this is hands down why I like your channel so much! Unlike many people who watch beauty reviews, I don't want my makeup to be a form of expression and want to play around with all kinds of things. I'm just looking for something that will work really well and look good without me having to be great at makeup 🙂

  11. Would love to see a video with the new eye brighteners! Do you have any plans to try the new Exa foundation?

  12. Thank you, Kackie! I just bought this, but haven’t received it yet. Wish I had waited because I wear the same type of eye makeup looks as you and this looks pretty but too much for everyday. Also, I’m very fair and love having a whitish matte shade.

  13. BEB LOOK PLS

  14. Waiting for this 😍

  15. YASSS Kackie, I would love to see a whole eye lewk using the Thrive shadow sticks! I saw them on my insta feed and the browny/mauve shade “Muna” looks SO pretty!

  16. I wish that he had split the black and put white with it. I would like to see the shimmer only eye look you mentioned!

I’m also pale and would 100% need more pale shades or a cream colour for this to work for me, also the black would never get used. In my mind this palette would be perfect if instead of the black it was a deep chocolate brown and there was a cream colour added. The black just seems to clash with the earthy colours in the rest of the palette. Thanks Kackie for the awesome review as always

  18. I would love to see an eye look with the new thrive colors. Thanks.

  19. It’s such a beautiful palette regardless though! And the pigmentation and color payoff is amazing. I don’t really use black eyeshadow much either, but I can definitely see myself spending $55 on this easy! I can always use the black as an eyeliner.

  20. I was so disappointed when he showed it. When he repeatedly said the palette is "luxury" it was so cringe worthy. Its a basic palette.

  21. This look really suits you. Very pretty.

  22. I cannot bring myself to spend $55 for six shades…I just cant.

  23. Would love to hear your thoughts on how to achieve the dewy, “natural but better” look for a wedding – I want to still look like myself but with more impact and staying power!

  24. I 🤔 soft glam by abh beats this palette passing on this one I prefer dark brown instead of the black too

  25. Thank you for your try on and review. What upsets me most about this palette is the disingenuous way it was promoted as neutral, beginner friendly and appropriate for mature women. Why disingenuous? It was not sent in PR to any YTers in the demographic range of 50-65. If it was designed with mature women in mind, why not also have it promoted on YT by mature women? The answer of course lies in all the negative points you brought up, and with which I agree.

  26. That eyeliner color is just beautiful!!!

  27. This eye look is beautiful. I think I will purchase everything for the $97

  28. What is the large brush you're using at the very beginning on your eyes?

  29. It's so good to see you get stuck and then continue and end up with a beautiful look. So often I get going and as soon as it looks like it's going to turn out horrible, I scrub everything off and start over with my tried and true neutrals. I don't have the makeup skills to turn things around, so it's so fun to see you work it out. I know it's not your typical style, but I do think it came out just gorgeous!

  30. I can't with the price

  31. I would have traded the rust for a matte ivory/beige. I’ve been laying the black down first with a small fluffy brush and building the others on top. That has helped my blending. But still need my WnW creme brûlée. 🤷‍♀️

  32. That makeup is not nice at all

  33. Unfortunately talks too much had to leave the video!

  34. I think Wayne needs to understand that many of us do not use black as much as other shades, like matte for a transition shade for paler skin tones. I agree, even as a professional makeup artist for 20 years, unless your client is going to the runway or Broadway, these orange based colors don't look good on pink, fair undertones.

  35. I think he was going for like a Charlotte Tilbury palette, simple but luxurious with few more options maybe 🤔?? I think is beautiful but I’m with you is not for me as an everyday palette

  36. The palette sounds up my vibe… I’ll mix the colors with a lighter or translucent (but not really) base and can have the versatility I’m thinking about. But waiting until my desire to see if I can feel comfortable with Hindash’s palette increases. Taking my time
