Farfetch Debacle – Issues with the Marc Jacobs The Tote Bag Mini Return (PART ONE)



The Farfetch boutique in France is lying and saying I sent back the correct bag with the wrong dust bag and tag. This is so crazy and is stressing me out!!! I sent back EXACTLY what they sent to me – ugh😡.

  6. I had a bad first experience with farfetch because of how my bag came, I decided to keep it but can understand why you didn’t keep yours. I won’t be ordering from them again, I can tell you that! I had given a review about the box being too small on mine and it being smashed and taped on the end with like a pound of tape to keep the box closed and they responded saying it was the boutiques fault and told me I could return but I didn’t want the hassle also I really like the bag. Maybe the boutique was at fault for how it was boxed but it still didn’t make me want to order from them again. I can’t imagine what you are going through. I hope everything works out for you. It’s horrible that they are saying those things about the tags and the dust bag. Good thing you video recorded the opening so I hope that helps to get you your refund! TFS! Take care and god bless.

  7. What a nightmare. I’m so sorry this happened. I wonder if someone else had returned the bag to the boutique and their quality control didn’t catch the incorrect tag and dust bag? Even as I wrote that, it didn’t make sense, though. I know your experiences with Farfetch have been positive up to this one, but I’ve read so many negative experiences that other people have had. Keep after them – this is not right and you shouldn’t have to accept this situation.

    You are in the right! They have the proof on video! What would you earn with sending the wrong dustbag and tacks back?! 🤷🏻‍♀️It’s ridiculous what they are accusing you of! I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 for you. I think everything will turn out fine.

  9. That’s why I won’t buy from places like them. If u used a credit card, dispute it. I certainly would be firm with them as far as them basically calling you a liar. Not cool.

    I’m sorry this happened to you. I think since it was marked final sale, the boutique it came from doesn’t want to accept the return and is creating a story. That’s just my theory. Worst case scenario, if it comes back to you and you don’t want it, sell it. I’m sure you will get close to retail even with those marks since they are tiny.

  12. I feel like it will all work out thank goodness u are a YouTuber and have that footage. Maybe the Marc Jacobs corporate should be notified about Farfetch not being accommodating and leave people with a bad experience with their brand

  13. Ugh that sucks! I know how disappointed with the bag in the first place, then to end up with even more aggravation with returning it?? This is why I record everything, buying, selling and boxing up something to return. I’ve never needed to show proof for anything but I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it lol.

  14. I would be outraged that Farfetch would not support you as a buyer. If you know the name of the boutique, I would email them directly and see if you can get anywhere with them. Good luck and I hope you get your refund. Always love your videos and, yes, this type of content, I think, is helpful to all of us online shoppers.

  15. OMG another Farfetch horror story! They sponsor so many YouTubers so we tend to get a very biased view of them as a company in this community, but the other stories I've heard indicate that in terms of operations, they are kind of a mess. If they don't refund you, I would go ahead and escalate to your bank.

  19. I have purchased from Farfetch quite a few times and only had to return a saint Laurent bag recently. The process was fairly easy and I received the refund in less than a week. However, the bag did come from a reputable luxury department store. Anyway, hopefully Farfetch will sort the issue out for you soon and also remove that French boutique off their vendor list.

  20. Aaryn I am glad you made this video to forewarn people about Farfetch. I found that my MJ tote developed popped stitches after having it two months. I want to say mine also had some cracks. And you and I rotate our bags daily so I think I wore it maybe 3 times?

  21. I’m so sorry!! I feel your pain, I have gotten bags before threw the mail and the zippers don’t work. Go to take it back and because you buy it on line they will not return it. Your stuck with it then and Oh how I loose my temper. I hate it!! Now I’m stuck with the bag that the zipper doesn’t work right and U will never buy from that online sight again. I feel your stress. And these bags are not cheap either there very expensive

  28. I’m sorry this happened. I’m glad you have the unboxing footage as leverage. If they lied about the dust bag which was documented , it should stand to reason that they’re lying about the tags too. I’ve been sent “authenticated” fakes, fakes that the seller misrepresented with “borrowed” photos from the SAME SITE (duh!) but TRIED to say I was keeping her “authentic” bag and sending her back a fake, and more than my share of “not as described”. I’ve always had positive outcomes with my return requests, hoping the same for you.

  30. I had a bad experience with far fetch as well I ordered the black Marc Jacobs leather mini tote…. They put it in a shoe box so the handles were all bent out of shape like crazy I was soooo angry cause no bag should be shoved in a shoe box sized bag

  32. I am having the exact same situation with a pair of margiela jeans I ordered and then returned at Farfetch. I tried it on once and they claimed that I returned it without the tag (I didn't!!). I contacted paypal and they were no help. Were you able to get a full refund??
