  1. She really thinks she's special. All I see is an entitled wannabe with a giant nose and long face.

  3. Because she is the best and she works at it. She gets better and better. She is on her own path and she's nobody's slave, least of all Youtube.

  4. Don't mean to be naughty but you talk to quickly I found it hard keeping up!! Just slow down a little bit and your be great 👍

  5. To be clear, Lydia is not as "self-made" success story as you seem to imply and cleverly left out how her family is well off, so she could afford to invest in getting her blog off the ground with no other pressing problems to worry about. Also, I noticed you left out all the Ibiza stuff where Lydia admits herself was a bad time in her life.

  6. I think the hate is more from Lydia and her team inability to take constructive criticism along with inability to make more of an effort to be down to earth or relatable to many who try to support her vlog. Hence, she remains under a million subscribers. Where as, most lifestyle vloggers on YT have way over 3 million subscribers in two and three years time. I think if she tried to be more authentic and less stubborn or nicer with all viewers that leave comments (not just those who praise her with almost weird amount of adoration), she would be more likeable.

    Never been a fan

  8. The issue here is these people can’t deal with criticism they become polarised and switch off but at the end of the day it’s about making money and follow trends and copy other vloggers it’s sad really because their daily lives are not their own I wouldn’t like to share my personal life out there, it’s a strange world .

  9. I’ve watched Lydia on and off for about 10 years now. From the very early blogging and lookbook days. I remember when I went to a fashion event in the UK years ago she was there with Ali promoting a camera and I was too embarrassed to go and say hello 😂 her content has definitely changed over the years but I think that is expected as people change when they get older and their lives develop. I now pick and choose which videos I think will appeal to me, I definitely don’t watch every one anymore. I can’t say I’ve paid too much attention to drama though I can see how it can affect viewers opinions of them.

  10. I started watching “Josie” fashionmumbler & then I saw Lydia.
Who came first? Why is Lys’ vlogs so much like Josie’s ? Do they know each other?

  11. I used to enjoy watching Lydia and loved her style! The only thing that bothered me about her content was she kinda came off fake at times with the laughing down to trying to have a perfect life. I don’t hate her either I just stopped watching her, there wasn’t any personality from her.

  12. I really enjoy watching Lydia's vlogs, I get inspiration and incorporate ideas into my home/life. However she got to where she is now is HER journey and I just don't believe she owes anyone an explanation, and let's admit it, she's killing it!. Bravo Lydia!

  13. I use to like her but you get sick of seeing what she has what she's bought all about stuff
    Plastic now

  14. I used to watch her but can't stand her now.

  15. I like her content most of the times.

  16. I just couldn't complete watching the vdeo bcos she was talking so fast , I just cudnt concentrate

  17. boy ! What a speedy talk you have !!

  18. For me its not a personality contest ! Im strictly in it for her sense of style and it is impeccable . She is lovely and she knows her business well. As for "who is Lydia?" I trust Ali to know the answer to that . I hope Lydia will continue her youtube channel for many years to come and I will be watching and supporting it . PS I am 72 so you dont fool this old dog very easily . Well done Lydia . BRAVO from Canada .

  19. I enjoyed much of her past content but not anymore. It’s reached a whole new level of comedy I am not here for.

  20. Did Lydia pay you to write a bio? What about drug abuse? What about paid dancing in clubs? You only spoke about her insecurities ( like everyone in the world)
So watching you speed talk about a person you personally don’t know is just relating here-say. Gossip only adds to interest in her brand. NOT NICE.
She is very good at showing enthusiasm in certain products that pay her. That’s why she is a good sales person. Her birth family has money and that’s why she has that “luxury Lifestyle “ ability.
    Simple and true
Jealousy and controversy is generated by her and drives up her subscriptions.
    Get real.

Powodzenia.

  22. A new format of celebrity surely. Nothing new here.
And who are any of us really? We all adopt different personas and roles depending on the circumstances and situation.

  23. Can I ask why your audio sounds like you have it on permanetly on 2 or 3x speed? It's really distracting

  24. All this sounds like major jealousy to me. Why not unfollow her if she's 'unreal'?🙄

  25. I’ve watched a couple of videos mainly because I was looking for Chanel bag reviews. She presented herself as a country style well heeled horsey type but I noticed her pronouncing certain words incorrectly, in an Essex type of way. I looked at her oldest video and she was that type. She has reinvented herself, which is fine but to me she just comes across as fake and superficial.

i LOVEEEE your pearl necklace!!!!!!!!!!!! Please share where its from. It looks like the tiffany's pearl bracelet.

  27. https://youtu.be/XMdySaANNMk
Minute 19..can not believe how frivolous this woman is. Just for wearing a dress like that after having a breast surgery

  28. need to slow down

  29. I love Lydia videos!🌹🌹👍

  30. I follow some relatable influencers, but i sometimes love lydia-like content too. For aesthetic purposes. I started dressing up everyday and enjoy myself more. But , i don’t have any love or hate relationship with any influencer. They are people just like us. I don’t find the need to be fanatic over this.

  31. She has sausage dogs as a copy of Josie from Fashion Mumbler channel. My opinion.

  32. I have followed Lydia since 2015, I really like her.

  33. I personally am unsettled by her level of discontent with her exterior world. She constantly re-edits, redos, tears out, repaints, recolors her hair. Initially she is over the moon with her highly professional team’s work and results only to rip it out and set the redo button. Seems to me a very costly learning process to discover the woman she wants to love and admire. Perhaps self analyzing can become an obsession gone haywire?

  34. Videos like this are so pathetic. “Modern day female Jekle and Hyde”? Really? I’d be curious (not really) to look into any one of your lives and see if you’re as perfect as you expect others to be. Then you ask if you love or hate her? Why would you ever hate anyone.. especially someone you don’t know. An “influencer”. If you don’t like her… don’t watch. Simple. What is there to hate? This generation is so damn sensitive and blame others for everything instead of looking at themselves and taking accountability. Like I said… if you don’t like her don’t watch. It’s your responsibility to control your own emotions or reactions towards ppl. And that includes walking away from something you don’t like or something that gets a reaction out of you that’s not healthy. So lame.

  35. I like Lydia…she is a natural with style and can be really funny. I enjoy her content. Also she is relaxing to watch.

  36. Lydia Millen bought most of her subscriber count I would say 60% are fake and it was proven on social blade and then she made social blade take her facts down but you still can find them on other media platforms that she bought say a thousand followers per day and it was shown that if you click on the followers that they were obviously fake third world bought! That’s when she had her crisis and thought that aside from thinking her career was gonna end because berating the hairdresser she was gonna get to one million to going to any extent! But after being on the internet for ten years to getting to million is not a good thing when people have surpassed that and quadrupled their count so along with buying she probably only has like 350,000-450,000 real followers at best!!

  37. I wish you’d slow down.

  38. Did we completely skip over her Ibiza days?

  39. I think if you look for the bad in anybody you are going to find it. In my opinion, when I follow an influencer it is because I like the content that they are providing. The information on products, and other valuable content. The personalities or who they are in real life is not important. That is unless the person I am following is a pedophile or or something horrid. If I were looking for an influencer for the sake of self improving my personal weaknesses for example, who they are in real life would be much more important. That’s how I feel about it…

  40. I absolutely LOVE her content! Im here for the luxury shopping, style, home decor and everything. I personally couldn't care less about the drama. I wish she wouldnt address any of the drama. Honestly, the bigger she gets the worse the hate will become – I think he addressing it just gives the "trolls" more to tear down. Its easier said than done, but I hope she just ignore the negativity and keeps pushing out content, thats what we're here forrrrrr <3

  41. Why make a video about someone you personally do not know? Your video is such gossip about someone you do not personally know. It’s quite pathetic. This video gives me anxiety 100x over.

  42. I used to watch too many of these luxurious YouTubers, showing expensive high end goods and travelling the world in luxury, I wanted to buy my first luxury bag too bad even though it was the last thing I needed… I stopped watching most of them and basically unsubscribed to others. Guess what I leaned owning a luxury bag isn’t going to make me happy, wearing brand new outfits every month isn’t my number one concern anymore, I started to appreciate my modest life and stopped caring about how expensive I look. Those vloggers really do turn us into big consumers, wasting our hard earned money on some unimportant stuff instead of focusing on priorities. Anyway each their own I just explained how I feel

well, i just see through her the english inequality which is so staggering!!!!! way different from anything that uk is sustaining in all its marketing and all the websites!!!!

  44. I admire the fact that she is creating her dream life, I am a supporter of the sisterhood. Us ladies have been oppressed for way too long so why not.

  45. LOVE LYDIA! She’s a Queen 👑

  46. I realize influencers work hard, but I wish more were transparent about what's real vs fake.

  47. I’ve watched her for years I loved her content I stoped watching in the past few years (around the time she did the first renovation of her home) I simply couldn’t relate to her content because it was all out of my budget 🤣 making me look at my life like damn I’m poor. I just started watching again and realized she’s redone the same room like 3-4 times in such a short time and I’m all for changing your mind but I can see why people say they’re exhausted. Overall how she is in real life isn’t my problem as I’ll never meet her. I’ll enjoy the entertainment

  48. I love….. Lydia, her style, everything.

  49. Thanks for this informative video.
    To your question:
Everyone goes through a development. Especially between 20 and 35 are the most exciting and thrilling years. You only develop into the person you actually want to be. Developments like this are particularly interesting for YouTube, because viewers can identify with them. With influencers, the question naturally arises to what extent they can still be themselves and to what extent they have to play a role in order to please their audience.
I think it's important to always be yourself, despite commercial pressures and audience expectations. In Lydia I miss the naturalness that made her so likeable. She has now reached a level of professionalism and meanwhile also has a target group that is located in the upper luxury segment.
This allows viewers to get the feeling that she's not "one of us" anymore. That can seem a bit alienating. She should therefore make sure that she is on the emotional level near to her viewers and does not lose contact with them. As a viewer, you have a keen sense of whether the influencer's emotions are genuine. Although I no longer follow her, I wish her all the best.
