“HOW DO YOU AFFORD TO BUY THESE LUXURY GOODS?”
This is one of my No.1 questions! I have had lots of new viewers asking me this so I thought I would answer: How I afford luxury, How I save for Luxury, Does my husband have a problem with me shopping?

I also work in marketing, only have around 2.5 years experience since I’m 24 but you’re such an inspiration to me! Always love your sound advice and honesty.
I honestly love your saving Plan and your videos! I 🥰
The main point here is, if you want to have the ability to afford more luxury items and to spend more on yourself, then you might reconsider having children. If you want to have children and luxury items, then work your ass off to get a really good job. Or get lucky with the lottery. I don't know what any other option could be.
Hi Sophie. I don't think it's necessary to repeat your progress in life for new viewers. All that is on your channel and if anyone was really interested, they could go back and watch your older vlogs. Whenever I find a new vlogger, I go back to their channel and binge on their videos to get caught up. All anyone needs is the link. https://www.youtube.com/c/Sophie5271/videos
@sophie I’ve subscribed to your Chanel at the start of lockdown and I love your personality. You’re inspiring and I find myself on a similar journey, not as successful yet but it gives me hope.
Sophie I recently purchased a pre loved Chanel double flap. The seller is basically some who has sourced the item for me. The code starts with 27XXXXX however they have confirmed the item was purchase in 2017.
I’m a little surprised because all the articles online say that 2017 had the 24XXXXX series. I live in a country where there is no Chanel store. Can you please confirm whether the series numbering makes sense. Since for me you’re the expert on Chanel and my inspiration to save and buy that one designer bag!
I spend on my mortgage and honestly clothes and makeup… I’m saving for Gucci Marmont I have been thinking about it since last year end… I would really like to have one (small in nude beige) they have increased the price now sadly… I thought it’s a bit too “trendy” for a classic bag.. but Its been almost a year and I really really want one. I’m now hunting for preloved as I know it doesn’t hold its value well.
I have definitely reduced my purchases as there are not many places to go …. but on the contrary i am going for quality over quantity so the budget is probably the same for me
It is a nice way to keep track of your finances, saving and spending. But I was SO distracted by that very cute little Lady Dior bag that is right left to the vase with roses. Would you mind showing / telling us what that is, cause it seems too small to be a normal bag.
How do you afford luxury? Not having kids… Personally I would rather have the kids but they are expensive
Thank you for the planners! I need this. 😳 I need to compartmentalize my spendings and figure out how to save!
Just started the video and I loveee that top on you, looking great!!!
I'm saving and I would love to splurge but I'm worried about the economy.
Haha – DOES MY HUSBAND MIND ME SPENDING?? OMG – he wouldn’t be your husband if he did!!!!!
Sophie – you are such an inspiration. I’ve been watching since you had 5k followers and have such respect for how humble you are and how well you communicate. Young women around the world are struggling to find their way as the world becomes more and more complicated and costly. And expectations of beauty and designer items increases. Have you given any thought to doing some “workshops” geared towards younger people at schools or uni – that focuses on real life challenges and how youve worked through and over come them? I think you would be amazing.
Please show us your make up collection I love your lip colours. 🥰❤️
Even if I watched the other similar videos in the past it's just a great reminder. We get bombarded daily with messages about spending, spending, spending . So a reminder with realistic expectations and importance of savings with tips on how to stay on track with goals and careers is always appreciated. It's just nice to ear you talk/re-talk about it. I think these videos will never be out of date ❤️
Im from Bangkok, Thailand but i will ONE DAY definitely write to u!! I watch ur vids so often, both therapeutical and inspiring xxx
Sophie I'm new to your channel. You are MY MOST FAVORITE PERSON ON UTUBE. So I will be bimge watching your videos. BTW your travel videos are my favorite. Especially when you take us into cool Museums.
Love you and your fabulous
Husband. 💖🌸🛍👠👜🐾
Sophie, you're huge inspiration for me. I'm in my 30's and used to work in aviation. Because of the Covid-19 I lost my job. I had to invent myself again. I decided to refresh my bachelor degree and study digital and social media marketing. We have also decided not to have children with my husband as he already has 3 from previous marriage. So there's a lot of things that I can relate with your story.
As a immigrant and a newbie on the marketing field, I feel like I don't know where to start. I would love to hear your advice if you have any. 😊 Keep up the good work because I'm loving it so far! ❤️
Personally I am spending on luxury items more than ever. My husband and I travel a lot, and put all of our extra money (outside retirement savings) towards travel. Since I’m not travelling, I don’t mind buying a luxury bag, some special pieces of clothing, and luxury makeup. I am not going insane, but I don’t feel bad for the purchases. I also never go into debt with the purchases! Thanks for sharing. Until we can all travel again…! xx
Sophie: "here are alllll the tricks of the trade!!" Me: "are those new VCA mother of pearl vintage alhambra earrings??" 😹😹😹
I just LOVE your channel !!!!
For budgeting and seeing savings and subscriptions- I would really recommend Emma Finance. It will do all the looking through your bank accounts for you☺️ it helps me a lot to see my finances and definitely made me less nervous about it
I have a spreadsheet saved to my desktop and on payday (well, back when I had a job) all my savings and bills were put into different accounts. Also before I went to bed the night before I got paid, I emptied what ever was left in my account into my savings so each month I had only my salary which meant I got used to living within my salary only
This is a helpful reminder frankly. I've just had to change my 5-year plan because of some personal circumstances and find I am needing to buy a house. Time to make my vision board over and tack one of those adorable printed sheets to it.
I've just started a new job, live with some great people finally and I feel like I'm ready to really get stuck into savings for real. I just have some stuff to consider in addition since the American credit system is different but i'm not super worried. I hope everyone else gets to enjoy this kind of peace.
House then handbags to fill it with 😛
Great video! I get the same question very often. Since I was 21 (now 43) I bought 1 classic jewellery piece and 5 fashion investment pieces each year. So more then 20 years later I have a nice collection of jewellery including a rosegold Rolex and a more dressy Chanel watch, a pile with beautiful cashmere sweaters, coats, blazers, heels, boots and handbags. I always buy stuff that never goes out of fashion, take care of it very well and therefore I do not buy so much nowadays and always look polished. I also noticed that prices went up like crazy in these years; my Chanel bag from €2300 to €7100, my burberry trenchcoat from €700 to €1500 etc.
I have heard you talk about this but a refresher/reminder is not bad. Yes forgetting a mask really put me off the whole going out as well. Nice video, thanks for sharing 🙌❤️
Love your relationship with David💗
I think your advice is super important for people to utilize because I know many people that make a ton of money, but spend money recklessly (eating out every day instead of homemade meals, buying way too many clothes etc…) and then would be confused when I’d buy one expensive item a year. Even if you aren’t into luxury, we should still be mindful about how much $$ we spend
I always appreciate your honesty. Your content is always so relatable. I have to agree with you though…. buying luxury items in the store is a completely different experience now that we are in a pandemic. I’ve learned that I enjoy the experience so I’ve been holding off on buying new items.
it was so endearing and relatable when she says "thank God"
Such a waste of money. Glad you are successful.
David and you make such a wonderful couple. I love how he's so supportive and excited over the things you purchase 😀
Have you thought of becoming a global VP of marketing for an international company? That’s probably the next level after senior director
Dear Sophie, I love all your insightful videos. It's helped me make 2 bag decisions and own my first Chanel boy. I really like the lipstick you're wearing here. Which is it please? Thank you!
You tube influencers are the death of me! I had no idea who or what a Chloe Handbag was and now I have 3. The more fashion channels I watch the more obsessed I become with luxury handbags. I'm not rich, I would say comfortable. I cannot drop $5000 on a Chanel or LV. I have a few LVs but my line is drawn at $2500 and that's only once or twice a year. I would be much better off if I stopped watching you tube!!
Hi Siphie, which one is better from your own opinion, lady dior small size or mini flap? Thank you so much 🤍🤍
