WHAT IS A PRE-RECORDED VIDEO INTERVIEW? 01:03
A pre-recorded video interview is where you record your answers to several interview questions using a platform that is provided by the employer. Once you have recorded your answers on the platform, the interviewer will watch them and assess you. There is usually a time limit in which you must answer each question.
7 PRE-RECORDED INTERVIEW TIPS 06:15
TIP #1 – Dress professionally for the pre-recorded interview. Although the assessor will only see the top half of you, it is important to dress smartly. How you dress says a lot about your professionalism and your motivations for the position.
TIP #2 – It is perfectly acceptable to wear headphones and a mic during the pre-recorded interview, or you can simply speak into your device’s built-in microphone.
TIP #3 – Make sure there are no background noises or distractions in the room or location you undertake the pre-recorded interview in.
TIP #4 – Speak clearly and concisely at all times during the pre-recorded video interview. Avoid rushing your answers and do not talk too fast.
TIP #5 – Smile, be positive, and look interested during the pre-recorded interview!
TIP #6 – Sit upright in the chair and maintain good body posture!
TIP #7 – When giving your answers to the interview questions, look into the webcam or camera within your device instead of the screen. This will take some practice!

I have an interview where I need to send a 2 mins video to recruiter via watsapp (the questions that must be answered was given in the job specification).
No questions will be pop up on any screen. We just need to answer those questions in a video and forward the video to the watsapp number. Is preparation for that the same as this one?

With regards to practicing your answers, do you suggest writing them out as a document, and then reading them over and over aloud, until you remember them and can say them clearly. I ask this because I’m worried I’ll forget when I’m not looking at it!

What are some tips that you can give to some person who has never done this before? It's not like everyone of us has experience with recording ourselves. I believe it might come naturally to people who are recording videos in TikTok, Youtube or Instagram, but for most people we struggle with nervousness and our recorded answers might turn out bad.

Dear Sir, English is not my mother language. However, I have been using it for several years in my professional career. I don't live in the countries where the English is dominantly spoken. I found a job interview opportunity a while ago at a company located in the UK. The interview was conducted online and it took 2 hours. The interviewers were the managers of the function. There was no HR representative. Unfortunately, I was not chosen for the 2nd round. I wish I had been given the reason why I had not been picked by the interviewers. This would have been comforting.
