Lol!! Kackie, i agree with you 100%. I love Violette and her style but When i heard her say she made them to resemble liquid lipstick my eyes literally cringed 😬 sounds painful, looks extremely hard to use. Products that are hard to use like that just collect dust in a lot of peoples collections

I totally agree about the weird red color (6:13 top right). It's like a weird, unflattering coppery orangey red. Like it has no true undertone and isn't vibrant or pretty at all to me. Such a bizarre color for a liquid eyeshadow. You think she'd either go fully copper or fully red. Such an ugly color LOL

Completely agree with your review of Violette's shadows. She is known for doing an effortless look at bars and restaurants so how the heck are we supposed to use her eyeshadow when it's so messy and requires a makeup wipe? If you look at her IG stories, she fast forwards through what I presume is a lot of fixing and fussing when she's using her eyeshadows. I also feel her look ends up being "ok" because her bangs cover up some of her eyelids. It's ok if a product works in a specific way. What I don't like is that it seems to be marketed as an easy breezy thing and it's not.
I actually found this super useful as got to see the eyeshadows as you moved and made expressions. Also quite sensible as you can just cleanse your face thoroughly rather than severely irritate your eyes also the shimmer and glitter might scratch the delicate eye area I do this sometimes as I have sensitive eyes and prone to blepharitis.
Are any of these products packaged in glass? I am searching for a great one and done shadow packaged in recyclable or refillable packaging. The Thrive Brilliant Eye Brighteners seem great, but so much plastic 😢. I was also super interested in Hourglass-Ray until I realized it was all plastic too… sooooo pretty!

Question for you, I wore the vbb kajal pencil and lid luster on top of my skin prep which was supergoop vitamin c daily dose and I found it kind of creased and spread out. I know you've worn both products separately but what about together? Do you typically prime with something for vbb honey lid luster?
