The thing I'm hoping for the most from Fire Emblem Switch is GOOD WRITING, and for 8-4 to localize it because we can't trust

So two major things about FE switch I wanna not see. No premonition. And no no child units. So, premonition is unneeded. It was fine in awakening because it just felt like it worked, it was pointless in fates and echoes. I hate it. As for child units, well with awakening it works, the story was designed with them in mind, fates also felt pointless especially since a good chunk was just awakening characters renamed for fates. The waifus and shipping the characters is fine and all, I don't mind personally. But they don't need to put the child units with them unless it's a story like awakening again, but I don't wanna see that for a while. Other than that, I am still new ish in fire emblem so for me. Surprise me. Just no premonitions and child units please.

The biggest problem i encounter in voting gauntlets are when they give units of all the same color. I REALLY dont think this staked out amellia is going to care about my 3 blue units…
Fate grand order is pretty fun but the summoning rates are absolute garbage,i luckily got scatach and gilgamesh.

They need to fix the 3/4* pool, they've been adding only 1 of the 4 new heroes of each set into the 4* pool since after the Alm and Celica banners, and things are now at the point where the 5* pool is as big as and will soon be bigger than the 3* and 4* pools combined, which is absurd; I calculated and I think the numbers right now are 97 for 5* and 98 for 3/4*s, so the next banner with permanent units will change that unless they fix it. And any reasoning of not demoting the "broken ones…" Rein…hardt…your argument is invalid.

A cyberpunk fire emblem would be cool. You start off as a mercenary, who only has enough money to hire generic soldiers, but then your militia does something significant and you start to gain a following, then you start to gain characters with more personality. There should be a home base too where you can customize characters and choose which path way you want to go. Ff7 x fire emblem? Idk

Edit: 25:30 Summoning pool rotations do sound like a good idea. I get a lot of woods of Eli most of the time for some reason. I do like Eliwood, but I don't like having duplicates that I can't really use in Inherit Skill or any game modes.
For the next Fire emblem I want branching classe change back this was awesome that also part of why I think Sacred stone is the best game.

Love the podcast. Just some feedback: you guys sometimes interrupt each other and say "I know what you're going to say!" "Oh yeah?" "At least I think I do"
It's a little tedious because it's an audio medium and then it prolongs me hearing what thing you had to say. Maybe that's just a pet peeve of mine. If you set yourself up to say something try not to let the question hang for too long

Yea, I'm worried about tropes and bland writing taking over the FE characters. Echoes did a much better job though (Aside from characters like Leon and Fae.)

About the defense/attack tatic skill, its really nice to release such a skill since it encourages mixed-emblem teams but how can anyone use those skills to make mixed-emblem teams if shiro and siegbert are 5* exclusive… i get they want to make a buck but just because they release a unit with a skill healthy for the meta doesnt there will be enough of the cure to pass around

I love to see in the VG a horse with my team with any of the 4 horse buffs but without any other horse in the team.
Or a Blade Tome and have no Field buff in the 3rd unit because I dont use field buffs 😛
Or even some unit that you may have and use but with a skill that you never gonna use and you pain trying figure out a better way to use (Elincia with Drag Back for me)
Great podcast! Always can use more positive fire emblem discussion. My only constructive criticism is that the background music is a little repetitive and distracting. I think it should be removed or diversified for future episodes!
