2. No items in battle*
3. No glitches or exploits*
4. No Double-Team TM before level 100*

Other rules:
— *Pokeballs & Pokedolls are allowed in battle
— *The badge-boost glitch is not restricted at all
— *Skipping the Rocket Hideout & Marowak is allowed
— I play the game at 4x game speed (238 frames per second)

— Skipping the bike is not allowed
— Saving between league members is allowed
— If the solo Pokemon faints and I choose to blackout it counts towards my reset counter

*Double-Team:
— Almost every Pokemon can learn Double-Team through TM
— The TM can be purchased in Celadon
— Using it would centralize the meta
— Every Pokemon would use it to overcome tough battles at lower levels
— It raises evasion
— It triggers the badge boost
— Banning the TM allows Pokemon who learn it through level up to use it
— I believe evasion is part of Pokemon and shouldn’t be banned entirely
— I don’t want the videos to all be double-team spam though, that’s not fun or entertaining
— Only two Pokemon learn Double-Team through level up: Pikachu & Scyther
— Minimize is the other evasion raising move, these Pokemon learn it through level up:
— Clefairy, Clefable, Grimer, Muk, Chansey, Staryu

  2. For your next farfetch'd run: if it goes down to fire, a roasted duck pun would be pretty tasty… šŸ˜‰

Your videos accompany every of my dinners šŸ™‚

  4. Just a thought, but, wouldn't be awesome if you made Seasons? Since some PokƩmon are getting more than one rank in the ladder, maybe you divide it by year?

Farfetch'd has always been one of my favorites for playing the game. In gen 1 because of badge boost, but overall Swords Dance is such a good move for it, and then you get the leek, which makes it… a one trick pony. If you can set up nothing will stop you. If you can't, you better not be doing a solo challenge.

  6. I can’t think of a good quip and all the puns are in the comments already. Thanks for another fun run!

  7. 3:15 this gym battle edit is awesome. Feels like real pokemon trainers with their mons

  8. So happy you named it Dux!

  9. Been playing yellow for Pokedex completion, currently at 107/151 lol got blue to trade between to finish it eventually

  10. Have you done only arcanine yet? Looked but I couldn’t find it so I was just curious.

  11. I’m not sure if it’s crossed your mind, but if further on down the line you think about deleting your older videos, I’d consider against it. I know a lot of artists and content-creators who are embarrassed by their old work and decide to erase it. But it’s really neat to see progression of skill and style over time. Great video as always!

  12. Well we know who the best Dux is.

  13. I love the new edits on the portrait!

I really love your content, I’ve been kinda binging your stuff since I found it (hence my comments keep popping up as of late)- your videos are extremely calming to me, I’m glad you didn’t give up on making this content. Being sappy because when I watched this I was feeling real off and it helped.

  14. Bruh mew vs mewtwošŸ¤ŸšŸ¼

  15. Wait the fight with oak? Is that after the Pokedex is complete or something?

  16. Commenting to know you have to read them all love the videos

  17. Absolutely love the little pokemon expression edits. That and the Kabutops edit on top in the beginning. Fantastic work as always. Glad you revisited this strange leeky duck.

  18. I like this

  19. After watch so many of your videos I actually start my son little challenge of "no PokƩmon Center" with struggle forbiden just for fun

  20. hey Scott, hope all is well. I always thought this PokƩmon was a bit quirky, but it did very well. Another great video, keep it up!!!

  21. ā€œunless it wins your heart with its sassy demeanor and weaponized leekā€ that was exactly it ā¤ļø

well, to be fair, it was more that ch’ding (the trade farfetch’d in FRLG) came at just the right time for me to need a cutter and a flyer, and that its trade-boosted exp gain quickly made it one of my strongest mons, but hey, I got attached to that dang duck. ch’ding is my boy and I love him

  22. My big fire/rock venomoth.. the best boy. Spitting hot bars and dropping the heavy lyrics.

Farfetchd is a joke within a joke pokemon from the Japanese saying Kamo ga negi wo shotte kuru (a duck comes bearing spring onions) meaning: a very convenient situation just presented itself. (Ducks are delicious with spring onion lol)
Now the pun is that this case it is not true because of his awfull stats and it's the player who is the naive "duck". Since the only way to get this PokƩmon is to trade a spearow (sounds like a good deal, but we all know fearow in gen1 is far superior and easy to obtain.
The English name translation is far more obvious as this saying does not exist in West.
This is why I love earlier gens, so many hidden lore

  24. great video per usual, and not that you need any more data, but it would be cool to see the Professor Oak fight for some of them. maybe as a tie breaker when ranking two very close Pokemon?

  25. Bro, i was looking toward doing some "Only …." Runs, and i found some emulators, can you say how do you modify the game to have custom pokemons in the table? I tried to find out by myself and failed, good video too real nice, keep up good work

  26. Hey Mr. Thoughts
Can you recommend other creators similar to yourself? I love your content and really enjoy watching Jrose too. I'd like to think that anyone you recommend would also not hesitate to recommend you if asked 😊

  27. I’ve never used Farfertched in any Pokemon. It’s one of the Pokemon I always overlook and forget exists. Great play through, enjoying your content šŸ‘šŸ»

  28. Can you do an entei vs raikou vs suicune rum im gen 2? I think it would ne fun. My bets are in Raikou

  29. You know what Pokemon he should play next the most forgotten one the green frog

  30. really fun video would be Mewtwo, just how fast can he steamroll through the entire game

  31. 9:09 Slowpoke :3

  32. yay hiker terriost art.

  33. The fact that scott has beed hearting comments for 2 or 1 years ,it fills you with DETERMINATION

  34. Scott, it's been amazing watching the channel grow! I'm looking to moving to other regions!

  35. dux…… the worst bird in this game…. you've been making things painful to watch. I'm still waiting for a caterpie run.

  36. Feels weird when people lose to Blaine

  37. This is definitely an interesting pokƩmon to complete "PokƩmon Yellow" with.
The stat increasing moves are definitely good.

  38. Bro I love your content! Please keep at it! You are very humble and fun.

Farfetch'd carries a leak which is type of onion so maybe he's super afraid of Vampires šŸ§›ā€ā™‚ļø
I don't think leak odd weapon of choice

  40. Seel really should have been F or Bruno tier. It struggles everywhere, made you hate it, absolutely no strategy beyond fighting everyone, and either accessible gym leader would require preparation from the start to get as much speed values/defense values/special values as possible or leveling up to level 99 in Jolteon team’s case and a similar level in Flareon team’s case. You just happen to be an efficient grinder because this is basically like speedrunning at this point to you, and that is the only reason Seel had a time reminiscent of a C-tier PokĆ©mon.

But given that you have so far only tested PokƩmon in the first stage of an evolution, Seel will eventually drop to Bruno tier.
