I was worried this was gonna happen when I had a L4-L5 micro discectomy. I made sure to go to the best hospital. I also asked the anesthesiologist I was scared of waking up. She said she monitors brain activity to make sure that doesn't happen. I went out and didn't wake up until 2 hours later after surgery in the recovery room
I feel so horrible for him, they should have noticed. I had a similar experience when I was seven, of course it's nowhere near that since the doctor's didn't care to numb me or put me to sleep or paralyze me and just stitched the wound, but I know how horrifying and horrible this is, especially since he couldn't even fight back or resist
Years ago, my son had his tonsils removed at five years old. For reasons unknown , he awoke during his procedure and then immediately after they were finished. For years, he suffered from night terrors that were horrific. He has, over the years dealt with severe anxiety and panic attacks. He is currently 35 years old. He has learned how to control his anxiety most of the time. I have done some research on this problem and have found it is more common place than people think it is. I am so sorry you are having to deal with this.
i used to watch shane dawson so i remember this being hugely talked about, surprised it’s still happening. isn’t there a machine that can prove if the patient is truly asleep or whatever?
I woke up during a procedure to place a cardiac stent. I remember saying hey I'm awake a couple of times before I got anyone's attention. Once that happened they gave me more anesthesia. In the recovery room they told my wife I had woken up and they had to really give it to me so I will be under for some time before I wake up.
This has me freaked out. I never really thought about it. I've been under at at least 8 times. I looked at what drugs they were giving me, but never really thought that I could be paralyzed and basically tortured.
This is like being buried alive. Or like that episode one episode of Lost.
I had cataract surgery and felt it and seen what was happening… I heard them talking saying put more meds in her eye and more in her iv… it was a nightmare
I had an operation where I wasn’t under when they put the intubation tube down my throat. I didn’t know how to breathe with a tube, I was choking. I could hear their weekend plans and they said oh we’re gonna have problems with this one. I was so frightened. I now have to go for major surgery but the waiting list is long. It’s hanging over my head and can’t think about anything else. It’s scary stuff guys.
My MOTHER woke up during HEART SURGERY remeberted everything and said she wasn’t happy but she was ok. FUCKING hell you had a hernia! My mother was 58 and she could have sued that hospital for MILLIONS and she just let it go!! Harden up…..
I have had over a dozen of colonoscopies in my life and the last two that I had was excruciating because I never really passed out. It wasn't because they didn't give me the Anasthesia but that I had a very high tolerance to the type of Anasthesia and the pain meds that were given. I had been on fentanyl patches and other strong narcotics at the time and so my tolerance was abnormally high. I was told they couldn't give me anymore because the risk of slipping into a coma. Thank goodness colonoscopies are just a scope procedure and not surgical incisions. I couldn't imagine being awake during the several invasive surgeries I've had involving removing parts of my colon and intestines. I remember waking up in ICU in recovery but I was in soo much pain they had to induce Anasthesia at times while recovering from surgery. I feel soo bad for these poor people who have endured full Anasthesia Awareness while undergoing invasive surgeries.
I just watched mrballen video 9f what happen to Sherman Sizemore who also experience similar fate in 16 minutes and he got an amnesia drug so he wouldn't remember the pain of how he got it, but it didn't stop Sherman's brain to remember something terrible, like a nightmare.
He needs to sue for millions. Who is his lawyer
That happened to me several years ago I woke up during my surgery because I do not receive enough anesthesia.
I can't imagine how painfull that is. Picking my scab is already painfull💀
im surprised it wasnt the patients fault somehow.
That is horrific, ohh 😲
That’s why you pick iv injection instead of mask

Great to hear any moron can pay a couple hundred thousand to become a doctor or anesthesiologist and ruin somebody mentally
It’s like the old days

I made it to 1:13 before I passed out. Anyone make it all the way through this video?

How can money from lawsuit heal him. ?
File a lawsuit over that team of doctor and not the hospital. The hospital save a lot of lives every second.
Or maybe you just want a big compensation.
That's soooo scary

I laugh at my self when I see blood and faint thank God I'm not a surgeon
